Don’t be violence perpetrators for politicians- Boniface tells Zongo Youth

Former Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development, Hon. Boniface Abubakar Saddique has admonished Muslim youths at the various zongo communities to desist from allowing themselves to be used by politicians to perpetrate violence during elections.

The Minister of state at the Office of the Vice President was addressing a colorful gathering at Kintampo in the Bono East region when he represented the Vice President H.E. Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia during the celebration of the 2020 edition of the annual Benkaadi Kurubi Festival which brings together all Wangara people across the country.

The La Nkwantanang-Madina constituency legislator urged them to ensure that conflicts are resolved between individuals, families and communities through the principles of social justice and cultural diplomacy to promote harmonious relationship with one another.

He added that: ” the implementation of the Free SHS policy by the President Nana Akuffo Addo led NPP government and the establishment of the Minister for Zongo & Inner City Development Ministry would soon make every Zongo youth enlightened, employable and discerning enough that Politicians can no longer play with the minds of people at Zongos”.

On his part, Sariki (Nana) Fanyinama , leader of the Wangara Community in Ghana expressed his profound gratitude to successive governments for giving Kintampo their fair share of the national cake.

However, he appealed to the authorities to ensure that the tourism potentials of the area be further explored to earn the country more revenue.
