“Don’t create the impression that you are fighting”-MP tells communicators

“In the course of defending your political parties on the various media platforms, don’t create the impression to your listeners that you are in a boxing ring”, these are the words of advice given to political parties communicators and serial callers by the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East constituency.

The majority Chief Whip, Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh was speaking to communicators and regular callers of both NPP and NDC Thursday December 26 when he held a get-together for the two groups including media personnel in Sunyani.

He said, “party communicators live and interact peacefully outside the radio studios but tend to talk harshly on the airwaves and it paints a scary picture in the minds of those listening”.

He charged the political radio panelist and the regular callers to be decorous in their presentations on air prior to the 2020 general elections.

The gathering which was held at the Hempong Hotel in Sunyani was attended by famous NPP, NDC radio communicators, host and producers of morning shows in the Bono regional capital.

Describing members of the media as ‘referees’, Hon Ameyaw Cheremeh charged them to ensure professionalism in the discharge of their duties to ensure sanity on their airwaves.

Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who graced the first of its kind gathering, expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Sunyani East legislator for uniting members of the two main parties.
