President Nana Akufo-Addo will address the nation this evening (Sunday, 1 December 2019) on the 17 December referendum which is asking Ghanaians about whether or not they would want the 1992 Constitution amended to allow political parties to sponsor candidates in local government elections.

The referendum has divided the nation. While the governing New Patriotic Party (N00) is pushing for a YES vote, the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
