Ahafo Records Violence-Free Election-PRO

The Ahafo Region has achieved a milestone by conducting peaceful elections this year, a significant improvement for an area previously known as a hotspot for electoral violence.
Despite its history, the region’s six constituencies reported no incidents of violence during or after the elections.
Chief Inspector Kwadwo Boakye, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ahafo Regional Police Command, confirmed this achievement during an interview on Rejoice Amansan Kasiebo.
He stated that while there was tension at Ahafoman Senior High School, the collation center for the Asunafo North Constituency, the police swiftly intervened to resolve the issue without any arrests being made.
The police’s proactive measures and strategic deployment contributed significantly to maintaining peace in the region, marking a new chapter in Ahafo’s electoral history.
