The Ahafo Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Yaw Okyere, has been elected as the Ahafo Regional representative on the Council of State.
The election, which saw eight candidates vying for the position, had a total of 12 voters. Hon. Yaw Okyere emerged victorious with six votes, while his closest contender, Abraham Yaw Agyemang, secured four votes. The remaining candidates received no votes, and two ballots were rejected.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Yaw Okyere expressed gratitude to the voters for their confidence in him. He pledged to serve with integrity and ensure that the people of Ahafo are well-informed about discussions within the Council of State.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for the development of the Ahafo Region and working in the best interest of its people.
