The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo North, Hon Evans Opoku Bobbie, along with Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon Osei Yaw Boahen and local traditional leaders, recently officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mim town roads project. This ambitious undertaking involves the construction of 3.8 kilometers of roads, connecting vital areas such as the cemetery to Domeabra, Mampong, Akyiase, 18 mu, Komfohene road, and Abromam. The project is being financed by the World Bank.

During the ceremony, Otieku Kyeremateng, a consultant overseeing the project, announced that the contract had been awarded to Garton Company. He expressed confidence in Garton Company’s capabilities and assured stakeholders that the project would be completed within the next four months. Kyeremateng emphasized the importance of maintaining a rigorous work schedule to ensure timely completion.

Hon Evans Opoku Bobbie, speaking at the event, highlighted the broader implications of infrastructure development in the region. He noted that the introduction of the new region had paved the way for numerous development opportunities.Hon. Bobbie urged constituents to prioritize voter registration, emphasizing that an accurate voter count would facilitate informed decision-making and lead to targeted development initiatives tailored to the needs of the population.

Dr. Okofrobour Nana Yaw Agyei II, the Mim Manhene, commended the NPP government for its efforts in fostering development in Mim. He also called upon timber merchants to support the road construction efforts, highlighting the significant strain timber loads can exert on roads and the need for collective responsibility in infrastructure upkeep.
