The all-experienced and hardworking regional chairman hopeful Robert Sarfo-Mensah affectionately called Chairman Booba has revealed that he will set up a vibrant reconciliation team in the Ahafo region even before he thinks of the campaign team to run the affairs of the 2024 general election should he be given the nod as the regional chairman.
This was made known when he had a closed-door meeting with his campaign team at his residence on the 24th of March 2022. Hon. Booba explained that everyone in NPP is aware of the plaque that derailed our victory in 2008 when former president John Agyekum Kuffour was leaving office. In his opinion, the forbidden pain that NPP and the country suffered as a result of “APATHY”. Apathy on the side of some party members who refused to work for the party due to reasons known to themselves. Again, this neglect of duty led to the general election resulting in voter apathy where many Ghanaians refused to cast their vote during the presidential and parliamentary elections.
“Information is useful to the wise” however, all post-election research in 2009 had one result, and that was, NPP lost the election because of apathy. he explained.
Chairman Booba cannot comprehend why Ahafo and NPP as a whole should forget this bitter experience so soon. He is hereby dedicating a great deal of time to iron out all the differences within the party in the early weeks of his chairmanship position to bring on board everybody who matters. Chairman Booba believes that he as the regional chairman will make due diligence on anything that is making the party unattractive to her supporters. Those who are offended will be calm down, those who are neglected will be brought back and those who are blocked will be de-fenced.
Hon. Robert Sarfo-Mensah (Booba) concluded that all the players in the ongoing activities in NPP must conduct themselves in a manner where others may not be hurt. He again used the occasion to wish all the aspirants in the constituency election success in their bid to serve the NPP.
