EC Trains Visually Impaired Voters in Asunafo North on Tactile Jacket Usage

The Electoral Commission (EC) in the Asunafo North Constituency of the Ahafo Region has conducted training for visually impaired voters on using the tactile jacket to ensure their seamless participation in the upcoming elections.
On Monday, November 18, Mr. Gideon Yeboah, the Asunafo North EC Officer, emphasized the commission’s commitment to inclusivity, explaining that the tactile jacket, which will be available at all polling stations, is designed to assist visually impaired voters in casting their ballots independently.
Additionally, visually impaired individuals may opt to bring aides to assist them during the voting process.
Atibilla Kwaku, the Ahafo Regional Secretary for the Ghana Blind Union, expressed gratitude to the EC for introducing these measures, which will empower visually impaired voters to exercise their democratic rights with greater ease.
