The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has set today as the date for a crucial meeting with the Transport Minister to discuss the proposed transport fare increment.

This decision comes after initial attempts to convene were postponed due to the Minister’s unavailability.Abass Imoro, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for GPRTU, explained that the delay was primarily due to the Minister’s absence but expressed optimism about the upcoming negotiation.

“We first set out to meet with the Transport Ministry earlier, but due to the Minister’s prior engagements, we had to reschedule for today,” Imoro stated.Imoro emphasized that the GPRTU intends to provide substantial justifications for the proposed transport fare increment during the meeting. Furthermore, the GPRTU aims to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the negotiation process. Imoro affirmed.
