Mim District Created – NPP Chairman Confirms
The people of Mim, located in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, have long sought to attain their own district status.
Recently, the Ahafo Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere, confirmed that the long-awaited Mim District has been officially created.
Mr. Sekyere emphasized that while many towns have been vying for district status, it is Mim that has finally been granted this privilege. He explained that on Friday, the local government committee will convene with the municipal assembly to discuss the development plans for the newly established Mim District.
In addressing any doubts about the district’s creation, Mr. Sekyere warned that those who claim otherwise or politicize the issue do not fully understand the situation. “Anyone who says the Mim District has not been created is misinformed,” he stated.
