Mim Pragyia Fares Remain Unchanged Amid Transport Fare Increases
In the midst of recent transport fare hikes, pragyia fares in Mim have stayed constant at 3 cedis, according to Tanko Osman, Mim Pragyia Riders Chairman.
Osman made these statements during an interview on the ‘Rejoice Amansan Ntie’ morning show, where he addressed several key points regarding the local transportation system.Osman urged passengers not to negotiate fares below 3 cedis, citing potential losses for pragyia riders. He emphasized the financial strain that lower fares could impose on riders, underscoring the need for sustainable pricing practices.
Furthermore, Osman advised pragyia riders to avoid overloading their vehicles, recommending a maximum of three passengers per trip.
He clarified that teachers typically arrange for school children’s transportation in pragyias, not the riders themselves. He cautioned riders against taking on such passengers due to increased scrutiny by regulatory task forces.
