During Rejoice FM’s Community Watch program, Nana Kwasi Appiah, the Dikro of Kensere in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region, voiced concerns over the lack of developmental projects in the community. Among the pressing issues highlighted were the shortage of teachers, inadequate healthcare facilities, and safety hazards posed by light poles.These challenges underscore the need for urgent intervention and concerted efforts to uplift the living standards of Kensere residents.

In response to these concerns, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North, Hon. Patrick Bannor, has expressed a firm commitment to address the community’s pressing needs.In an interview on Rejoice Amansan Ntie morning show with Yaw Omono-Asamoah, the MP outlined concrete measures that will be implemented to tackle these challenges and foster development in Kensere.One of the primary concerns raised was the shortage of teachers in Kensere, impacting the quality of education for the youth.

Hon. Bannor pledged to collaborate closely with the District Education Director to ensure that an adequate number of qualified teachers are deployed to Kensere.Furthermore, he emphasized plans to renovate the school infrastructure, creating a conducive learning environment that promotes academic excellence.Healthcare accessibility is another critical issue facing Kensere residents.Hon.Bannor said the Kensere CHPS compound to be commissioned within the next two months to address the concern.

The MP assured the community of adequate staffing and equipping of the healthcare facility to provide essential medical services to the populace.The safety hazards posed by light poles also came under scrutiny, with reports of potential dangers to residents.

Hon. Banner assured the community of proactive measures, including engagement with the Volta River Authority (VRA) to address these safety concerns. Additionally, he pledged to provide technical support and network enhancements to mitigate risks associated with light poles in Kensere.Infrastructure development, particularly road construction, remains a priority for enhancing connectivity and transportation in Kensere.

The MP disclosed ongoing engagements with the Roads Minister to expedite the construction of the Hwidiem-Kenyasi road.
