Hon. John Osei Frimpong, MP for Abirem Constituency writes:
On 11th August, 2023, I joined the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to commission the newly constructed Astro turf at New Abirem in my Constituency.
This beautiful edifice adds to the remarkable number of modern Astro turfs President Akufo-Addo led government has built in various constituencies across the country.
This is part of my commitment to nurturing football talents and promoting community sports and fitness in the Constituency.
The Vice President was accompanied by the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong, some colleague Members of Parliament and the Eastern Regional Executives of NPP.
I am grateful to Ghana National Gas Company for fully funding the project which was beautifully constructed by Wembley Sports Construction Company.
Special thanks to the Chief of Abirem, Obrempong Akwasi Amo Kyeretwie I for donating that parcel of land for the project, and the DCE, Remond Nana Damptey for his support.
Present were Nananom, the Abirem Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators and Polling Station Executives, NPP party stalwarts and other party faithfuls.
