The 1D1F (One District, One Factory) initiative has reached a significant milestone with the commissioning of a plantain processing factory at Fawohoyeden in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region on Thursday, November 29. This development underscores the government’s commitment to industrialization and job creation under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

During the commissioning ceremony, the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Yaw Boakye, lauded the vision of the government and highlighted the contributions of Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie, the Member of Parliament for Asunafo North. He urged constituents to show their gratitude by supporting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in upcoming elections, emphasizing the party’s transformative achievements.

Hon. Osei Yaw Boahen, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asunafo North, emphasized the economic impact of the factory, stating that it would create jobs for residents of Fawohoyeden and Ayomso, thereby boosting the local economy.

Mr. George Frimpong, the Project Officer for the factory, assured the community that the factory would prioritize employing local youth, encouraging them to continue supporting the NPP for sustained development.

Speaking on behalf of the Ayomso Chief, Nana Akyemfour, the Akwamuhene of Fawohoyeden, expressed gratitude to the NPP government for its achievements in the area and pledged continued support in future elections.
