Asunafo North Municipal Gets New Immigration and Narcotics Office
The Asunafo North Municipal has inaugurated a new immigration and narcotics office located in Ahafo Mim, within the Ahafo Region.During the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Yakubu Mohammed, the Asunafo North Municipal coordinator, highlighted the significance of these offices, originally intended for the Mim Urban Council but repurposed for immigration and narcotics services due to security considerations. He emphasized that the funding for these offices came from stool lands, showcasing a collaborative effort between local authorities and traditional institutions.Mrs. Maame Ama Adumadze, the National Administrator of stool lands, commended the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly for utilizing funds from stool lands for such crucial projects. She urged other assemblies to follow suit and utilize these resources for community development initiatives.Hon. Evans Opoku Bobbie, Member of Parliament for Asunafo North and Deputy Minister for Youths and Sports, expressed optimism about the future, promising more development projects under his leadership for the Asunafo North area.Nana Kwame Hene II, the Mim Akyeamehene, emphasized the importance of tax payments to stool lands, highlighting that these contributions directly contribute to developmental projects that benefit the community at large.
