HANS NEF COCOA MEETS COCOA FARMERS IN ASUNAFO NORTH MUNICIPALITY

Hans Nef Cocoa Company has taken strides to support the cocoa farmers of Asunafo North Municipality in the Ahafo Region.
The company, renowned for its chocolate production, recently met with the local cocoa farmers to establish a partnership aimed at enhancing their lives and fostering sustainable development in the region.

The pivotal meeting took place in the presence of Mim manhene, Dr Okofrobuor Nana Yaw Agyei II. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the vital role cocoa plays in the country’s development while highlighting the challenges faced by cocoa farmers. Dr Agyei urged Hans Nef Cocoa Company to extend its support to these farmers, recognizing the company’s potential to make a significant difference.

Augustine Opoku Yeboah, the Managing Director of Hans Nef Cocoa-Ghana, reiterated his commitment to the community. Being a native of Mim, he expressed a deep personal connection and explained that his roots motivated him to actively participate in the betterment of his hometown. As a director of the company, he pledged to not only purchase cocoa from the farmers but also provide them with essential support.
During the meeting, Mr. Meshach Opoku, the District Purchasing Officer for Hans Nef Cocoa, encouraged cocoa farmers to sell their produce to the company. He emphasized that by doing so, the farmers would not only receive financial support but also contribute to initiatives such as child education, fostering a brighter future for the younger generation in the community.
Eric Agyemang, the Head of Asunafo North Cocoa Farmers Cooperative, expressed his gratitude for this partnership, a dream that the farmers had long nurtured.
