Nana Kwasi Appiah, the Dikro of Kensere in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region, has voiced his distress over the absence of developmental projects in his community. Serving as Odikro for the past 28 years, he laments the lack of significant progress in infrastructure and essential services for the residents.During in an interview on Rejoice FM’s community watch, Nana Kwasi Appiah highlighted several pressing issues that Kensere is facing. One of the major concerns is the inadequate provision of electricity, compounded by the deteriorating state of light poles, which poses a safety risk to the community members.

Another critical issue is the absence of a local clinic, leading to challenges in healthcare accessibility. Nurses from neighboring areas visit sporadically to attend to pregnant women, but this intermittent service is insufficient to meet the community’s needs.Expressing his frustration, Nana Kwasi Appiah issued a stern warning to the Asutifi North District Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Mensah. He urged the DCE to personally transport pregnant women to a suitable facility for childbirth and ensure their safe return to the community post-delivery.Moreover, the lack of teachers in Kensere is a significant educational setback, depriving children of quality learning opportunities.

The poor road network exacerbates these challenges, hindering transportation and connectivity for the residents.Water scarcity further compounds the community’s hardships, affecting daily life and hygiene practices. Despite repeated complaints,Nana Kwasi Appiah emphasized that the response from authorities has been inadequate, urging them to take urgent action to address these pressing issues.

Adding their voice to the plea for development, Unit Committee members in Kensere stated that failure to witness tangible improvements would impact their voting decisions in the upcoming elections.
