I Wasn’t Surprised by My Nomination–Charity Gardiner
The Ahafo Regional Minister-designate and NDC Ahafo Regional Women’s Organizer, Mrs. Charity Gardiner, has stated that she was both surprised and unsurprised when President John Dramani Mahama nominated her as Ahafo Regional Minister.
Speaking on the Rejoice Amansan Ntie morning show, she explained that her hard work as the Ahafo Regional Women’s Organizer for the NDC made the nomination somewhat expected. However, the official confirmation still came as a pleasant surprise.
Mrs. Gardiner acknowledged that all her fellow contenders were highly qualified. She attributed her selection to the president’s commitment to ensuring 30% female representation in his administration, emphasizing that her nomination was not solely about gender but also about her qualifications and meeting the required criteria.
She reiterated her commitment to serve everyone in the region, not just women or her political party, and expressed her dedication to continuing and enhancing her developmental efforts. Mrs. Gardiner called on all stakeholders and residents to unite and work together for the advancement of the Ahafo Region.
