FREE WHEELCHAIRS DONATES TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

A Non- Governmental Organization namely “KABAKA FOUNDATION” has donated about 40 wheelchairs to presons with Disabilities in the Kwahu Nkwatia Community to enhance and ease their movements.
Presenting the items to some disable persons at their homes, the Executive Director for KABAKA FOUNDATION Mr. Henry Larbi, with media engagement noted there are numerous challenges faced by persons with disability in the country and the purpose of distributing the Wheelchairs are to improve access to assistive technology and facilitate the movement of persons with disability in order to associate themselves in some activities like education, employment etc and also explained that, they are part of the society and must be recognize as people who contribute to the development of the country. He also mentioned that, this project is part of a larger distribution of over 175 free wheelchairs to persons with Disability in Ghana which is a partnership with Walkabout Foundation UK and the Orthopedic Training Centre in Nsawam Ghana.

Receiving the Wheelchairs, some Benificiaries expressed gratitude to KABAKA FOUNDATION for recognizing their needs by coming to their aid and advised collegues to safeguard the items.
