The Member of Parliament for Asunafo North Constituency, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobbie, who also serves as the Deputy Minister for Youths and Sports, has commissioned a modern V.I.P ward at the Goaso Municipal Hospital in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region. The ward, which cost GH¢ 400,000, is equipped with 10 rooms that feature massaging beds, televisions, kitchens, and toilet and bath facilities.
During the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobbie expressed his satisfaction with the infrastructure and medical centers in the municipality, rating them at 75 to 80 percent. He mentioned that several facilities are being built in various communities and will be commissioned soon. He also urged the hospital to prioritize maintenance to ensure the longevity of the newly commissioned ward.
Hon. Osei Yaw Boahen, the Asunafo North Municipal Chief Executive, commended the Member of Parliament for his efforts and highlighted the achievements made in providing quality healthcare in the area.
Dr. Boakye Boateng, the Regional Health Director, also shared the accomplishments of the hospital in delivering excellent healthcare services.
Nana Appiah Kubi, speaking on behalf of Goasomanhene Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive for their commitment to improving the healthcare system in the municipality. This new ultra-modern V.I.P ward will undoubtedly enhance the healthcare services provided to the people of the Asunafo North Municipality.
